ANNOUNCEMENT:
In an effort to post more regularly I'm going to try the once-a-week schedule starting with Mondays, which (cross fingers) are usually slow for me. Please, no pelting of rotten vegetables or other unpleasant paraphernalia* at the author if I should fail at some point. Encouragement, on the other hand, is always an accepted currency.
*Nerd Moment: I am proud to say I checked this with Merriam-Webster and my spelling was spot-on! :D

Now, regarding the title of today's post...
I've always wanted to keep note of things that are completely useless in any sort of practical application but are also completely interesting (at least, to me). Years ago, when I kept an ordinary hard-copy journal, I used to note random sightings. For example, I was really excited when, at my hair salon, I once overheard a conversation between a stylist and her client, who said he worked as a Chester the Cheetah mascot (you know, for Cheetos?). I actually recorded this observation. If this sounds like your last resort for entertainment when even Jerry Springer reruns are off the air, then be sure to tune out every time you see a post here with the heading "I Spied." Because no posts in this category are going to be particularly planet-pulverizing (yes, I love to alliterate, though too often it crops up in my writing by accident).
So, for my very first sighting as recorded in this blog...
A DOUBLE-DECKER BUS!! (Spied a couple of weeks ago, on the street where I live)
OK, not an authentic London one. It wasn't red. I'm not even sure it actually had a real upper deck. But it looked like a double-decker! And it was meant to. I know because I quickly put two and two together. The bus (or truck, more likely) displayed the company name Rimmel. Can you guess why Rimmel would choose to outfit itself with doubledecker wannabes? Answer posted in today's comments. (No, I can't give any hints without giving it away--I'm not that talented. However, you're more than welcome to make me proud by doing an internet search--one of the Dabbler's most essential tools.)
